It looks like we’ll be having a white christmas in Seattle this year! The last couple days have given us weather that brought the city of Seattle to its knees. Shopping malls closed, buses careened over the freeway, and people were literally snowboarding in the streets. All because of the 2 inches of snow we got overnight on Wednesday night.

The Woodhouse Allard clan took a half-day snow day to relish in the white wonderland and introduce Jasper to his very first snow day. Click for pictures!

We can’t believe how fast time flies when you’re having fun! Jasper just had his 1 year birthday party, and we’ve got pictures to prove it. It was hard for us to wrangle all our friends to a single event, so we had a couple of smaller parties (both picnics in the park) to celebrate.

It’s been a while, so time for some new Jasper photos! He’s past the 10 month mark, which means he’s crawling around, pulling himself up on things, eating real food, and having more fun than ever. By last measure he’s about 2′ 4″, and weighs a bit over 20 pounds. Tooth number 8 just came in, so he’s got quite the mouth full of chompers!

What? More Jasper photos? Of course! We decided to split up the photos into a few sets just to organize them a little better. Here’s are some of the photos that we took while Gram and Grampy Allard came to visit. It was a great visit, and awesome that they could spend so much time out here getting to know their new grandson.

Already at 2 months! We just had our 2 month pediatrician visit, and he’s up over 12 pounds now - that’s double his birth weight in 2 months. Nice work little guy!

At 6 pounds 14 ounces, this little bundle of joy joined us at 6:03 am on July 28. Mom, Dad, and Jasper are all doing great. So far, Jasper’s been a sleepy little guy - which we are perfectly happy to enjoy while it lasts. While we figure out our new routines, the cats are sniffing around trying to figure out what this new little creature means to them.

Better late than never! Finally getting around to posting pics from the 3rd chapter of our European adventures from last September. Next stop is Cinque Terre, an 18km stretch of gorgeous rocky coastline in northern Italy. We only had a few days here, but it was a really nice change of pace from all the museum hopping and shopping of our week in France. We downshifted here, and just hung out and enjoyed the amazing surroundings.

The clear winner of the trip was the 5 1/2-hour walk through the 5 little villages that make up Cinque Terre (and all the rocky landscape in between). It was a great experience - pictures don’t really do it justice.

We just had our second ultrasound yesterday…. Super cool! The baby is doing great, and seems to have all the parts that a little baby needs. We saw fingers, toes, and even a little beating heart! We only got a few pictures, but they also let us take home a video of some of his/her performance. I’ll have to try to get that digitized so I can share it up for everyone to see.
